What you will do:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to direct reports by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counselling, and disciplining as required
- Ensure warehouse is adequately staffed in order to provide superior customer service
- Communicate customer service policies, procedures, and standards relating to phone and in-branch interaction with customers to Warehouse staff
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellence in customer service and cultivating an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork in providing customer service
- Ensure warehouse employees are being continually trained in skills required to perform their job duties and deliver a high standard of customer service including computer skills, product knowledge, and customer relations
- Work with Operations Manager to schedule staff development and training activities
Warehouse Operations:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the efficient and economical receipt, storage, sorting and distribution of all products, supplies and returns
- Ensure replenishment is accurate, efficient, and maximizes productivity
- Ensure end of day and end of month activities are delegated and completed on time
- Review warehouse-related queues in the system and take action when required
- Identify warehouse equipment needs and make recommendations for purchase when required
About You:
- Prior warehouse leadership experience required
- Thorough understanding of inventory management and warehousing best practices
- Plumbing product knowledge a definite asset
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
