Lakeland Catholic School Division is currently seeking a temporary part-time (0.80 FTE) Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a 1-year term position to support leave coverage , with the possibility of extension . This role begins on November 3, 2025, and is based out of Bonnyville, AB, with travel required to support all Bonnyville schools. The successful candidate will work Monday to Thursday (Fridays off).
This position plays a key role in supporting the communication development of students in a faith-based educational setting, under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Completion of a recognized Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) diploma; or,
- ECE Level 2 or 3 Certification (Level 3 preferred) with relevant experience.
- Experience working with school-aged children or youth in clinical or educational settings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to travel between schools within the division (valid driver’s license and vehicle required).
Assets
- Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based school environment.
- Familiarity with complex communication needs and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
