Position Summary
The Site Superintendent (SS) is a mid level position and is primarily responsible for all aspects of construction management on worksites, including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish. The SS works cohesively with the Project Manager and other project members from the office. The SS always represents MARANT’s core values, high standards of client relationship and work product. The SS demonstrates proven influential, leadership skills and monitors workers and subcontractors to ensure that duties are being completed in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. The SS must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring that the worksite is fully compliant as it relates to documentation, safety stations, and regulatory requirements and is responsible for making sure all workers and subcontractors perform their duties in accordance with MARANT Construction Limited’s policies and procedures.
Must Have Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or equivalent relevant experience

Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction experience with an emphasis on tenant fit-outs/leasehold improvements

Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in site supervision/management position within a commercial construction environment, with an emphasis tenant fit-outs/leasehold improvements

Completion and maintenance of required Ministry of Labour certificates and training including WHIMIS, Fall Arrest, Basics of Supervisor, Occupational Health & Safety Awareness for Supervisors and others as required

Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, and legislation

Highly developed interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, non-verbal), and organizational skills

Ability grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups (co-workers, clients, subtrades, consultants, etc.)

Ability to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and project team.
