Position #: 176677 Union: HSAS Facility: Kyle Health Centre City/Town: Kyle Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 168 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Valid Class 4 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)- Current CPR certification- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)Competencies- Written Communication Skills- Basic - Interpersonal skills- Verbal communication skills- Listening skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)- Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis- Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues- Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations- Ability to be resilient- Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking- Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively- Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care-...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
