**POSITION:**Part-Time Homemaker – Independent Contractor
**Area:**Kitchener - Cambridge - North Dumfries(and Surrounding Area)
Salary:****$24.00 per Hour(Rate Effective April 1/26 - may be eligible for $26.00 per Hour)

Community Support Connectionsis currently recruitingIndependent Contractorsfor its Homemaking Program to provide assistance with light housekeeping, laundry and minor meal preparation only.Our Homemakers donotprovide any personal hygiene care at all –*noclient lifting, bathing, dressing or biohazard cleaning whatsoever*****.Our Contract Work is categorically easier, safer & much more flexible for applicants who may have other family/parental obligations, another job or even pursuing part-time education. For this reason, many of our Homemakers are former/current/graduating PSW's OR working Moms attracted by our competitive pay rate, lighter work load and flexible scheduling. Our clients include older adults and persons with disabilities, living within theGreater Kitchener-Cambridge-North Dumfries Area**.

Community Support Connections screens Homemakers through reference and police checks, and then matches them with eligible clients. This position is part-time with flexible hours. Clients pay a per-hour set fee (2 hour booking minimum) for the service, directly to the Homemaker.
Suitable candidates must have:
- Exceptional cleaning skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Some experience with older adults and/or persons with disabilities
- Access to a reliable vehicle
Successful candidates must provide arecent Vulnerable Sector Police Check(VSPC) and3 Personal References(excluding family members) before they can join our Independent Contractor Team. All references should include full names, email address, phone number and nature of relationship. Only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
