Description Charlene's is seeking a qualified Kitchen Manager (NOC 60030).

Kitchen Manager Job Duties
- Plan the menu and operations of the kitchen
- Set prices and determine seasonal offerings
- Hire, train, and monitor staff, including line cooks, supervisors, and support staff
- Set training processes and relay to supervisors for training kitchen staff
- Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance and maintain operations
- Ensure staff understand and follow sanitation and safety procedures
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Monitor sales, inventory, and budget, and schedule and set menus accordingly
- Order inventory, negotiate with suppliers, ensure proper stock at all times
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Schedule cooks, kitchen support staff, and supervisors, ensuring proper coverage for busy times
- Prepare food and support kitchen staff when needed
- Plan for and schedule staff for on-site catering events, as booked by Owner or Front of House Manager
- Determine menu for on-site catering events, potentially discussing with client as needed
Job Details
- Wage: 16.50 - 18.00 per hour
- Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
- Vacation pay: 4% bi-weekly
Requirements

- Open scheduling availability
- Willingness to learn
- Own transportation and ability to travel to Whycocomagh
- Experience in food service industry an asset
- 1 year experience supervising or managing a team in a food service or retail industry required
