Position Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Day Program Assistant to support individuals in our Day Program. You will provide direct care, assist with daily living skills, and support recreational and leisure activities, helping participants achieve their personal goals. Effective communication and collaboration with team members, families, and professionals are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, assist with daily routines, and support mobility needs.
- Implement individualized programs and Behavior Support Plans.
- Facilitate recreational, artistic, and therapeutic activities.
- Support program operations: maintain records, manage petty cash, assist with special events.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development.
- Foster positive relationships and support participants’ social, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, or related field.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities is an asset.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Full Class 5 Driver’s License (non-GDL).
- Proficiency in Word and Outlook.
- Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
Reporting
Reports directly to the Day Program Leader.
Pay Rate
$20.04 – $21.28 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
