About the role
Position Overview Calian is seeking a Role Player Coordinator for a short term contract to assist all required duties supporting the utilization of role players in Speciality Training Courses delivered by our client Department of National Defence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with designated Contractor staff on applications and processing of security clearances for role players
- Administer role player timesheets and invoices in coordination with Contractor administration staff
- Complete administrative tasks including reports, memoranda, and scheduling work teams
- Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and database applications)
- Create, maintain, and manage schedules of role player appearances for training events
- Ensure adequate role players are available for training scenarios, and confirm they are fully briefed, rehearsed, and capable of performing their assigned roles convincingly
- Coordinate with Specialty Training Quarter Master to ensure training aids (e.g., costumes, communication equipment, PP&S) are supplied, safe, and effectively used
- Ensure Specialty Training leadership has the resources required to achieve training objectives
- Assist in supervising assigned General Duty staff in support of training objectives
- Provide immediate first aid to students or unit personnel in case of emergencies
- Operate a standard commercial vehicle (up to 3-ton load capacity)
- Obtain and maintain a valid DND-404 (DND Driver License)
Qualifications
- Any AGHJ (CI), or ALVU, ALTU, AIMC or recognised Five Eyes equivalent military Source Handler Operator course qualification
- Any AIPB (BMOQ), AIOX (BMOQ LAND), AINR (PLQ Common), or AHCH (Basic Instructional techniques) qualification;
- Employment experience at CFSMI Speciality training or JTF X, or recognized Allied equivalent;
- Employment experience in support of military Human Intelligence or Counter Intelligence training; and
- Deployment experience, domestic or expeditionary, in a military Intelligence support function
- Must be able to work onsite
- Currently hold or have the ability to obtain a Federal Government of Canada Security Clearance at the Secret level
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, living within Canada
