Job Summary
The Associate Director, Graduate Awards Operations and Postdoctoral Affairs is responsible for the administration of graduate awards and postdoctoral affairs at the University of Toronto. This role involves overseeing the operations of the graduate awards program, ensuring compliance with university policies and external regulations, and providing support to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the graduate awards operations, including the administration of scholarships, fellowships, and grants.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to graduate awards and postdoctoral affairs.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and external organizations, to enhance the graduate awards program.
- Provide guidance and support to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows regarding funding opportunities and application processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of graduate awards programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education administration, with a focus on graduate awards or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of scholarship and funding opportunities available to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with university policies and procedures related to graduate studies.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
