###Job Description
The Senior Resource Geologist is accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of all geological and mineral resource models for the mine site and associated exploration targets. The role provides technical leadership in geological modelling, resource estimation support, drillhole data QA/QC, and mentoring of junior geologists.
This position works closely with geology, mine planning, technical services, and exploration teams to support short- and long-term operational objectives while maintaining high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence.
All Magna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively with others, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence.
Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve geological and mineral resource block models for mine operations and exploration projects.

Create and update lithological, structural, alteration, and mineralization models to support mine planning and resource evaluation.

Ensure delivery of models are on time to support short- and long-term planning along with Exploration and Projects group.

Test, implement, and document improvements to modelling and estimation methodologies to enhance accuracy and reconciliation.

Maintain resource models in accordance with industry best practices and

Clearly communicate model updates, assumptions, risks, and recommendations to management and technical stakeholders.

Support internal and external audits, reviews, and technical studies.
-
Oversee QA/QC of all drillhole and geological data (collar, survey, assay, geology) across mine and exploration datasets.

Maintain data integrity through validation, auditing, and correction processes.
-
Establish and enforce data standards, documentation, and governance procedures.
###Requirements
Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related discipline.
-
Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) designation in good standing.
Work Experience: Nature & Length
-
Minimum 7 years experience in an operating mining environment.
-
Demonstrated experience with base metals deposits (e.g., Ni, Cu, Zn, PGE).
-
Strong background in geological and mineral resource modelling.
Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills
-
Advanced use and oversight of Datamine, Leapfrog Geo, Leapfrog Edge, and Database Management Software.
-
Advanced proficiency with Datamine, and Leapfrog Edge.
-
Proven ability to mentor and lead technically.
