Our client is seeking an experienced Change Management Specialist to support a major Procurement System Modernization initiative. This role is responsible for leading organizational change management activities that help stakeholders successfully transition to new business processes, technologies, and ways of working.
Working closely with project sponsors, business leaders, project teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will develop and execute change strategies, communication plans, stakeholder engagement initiatives, readiness activities, and training programs to ensure successful adoption and long-term sustainability of enterprise solutions, including ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive organizational change management strategies and plans. Lead stakeholder identification, stakeholder analysis, and engagement activities. Develop and deliver communication strategies, communication plans, and executive presentations. Create compelling communication materials to support organizational change initiatives. Develop readiness programs, stakeholder engagement plans, and training initiatives. Conduct change impact assessments, gap analyses, and organizational readiness assessments. Develop and implement resistance management strategies. Collaborate with project managers, sponsors, operational teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout project delivery. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations for executives, leadership teams, and business users. Monitor change adoption, measure success metrics, and report on change management progress. Identify and mitigate change-related risks and issues. Provide expert guidance on change management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Support ERP implementation projects and ensure successful adoption of new business processes. Leverage AI-enabled productivity and collaboration tools where appropriate to enhance communications, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
Must-Have Qualifications
University degree in Commerce, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Change Management Certification (Prosci, ACMP, CCMP, or equivalent). 4+ years of experience applying organizational change management methodologies and principles. 4+ years of consultation, facilitation, stakeholder management, interpersonal, and relationship management experience. 5+ years of experience developing and delivering communications and presentations for multiple stakeholder groups, including senior leadership and executives. 5+ years of experience developing change management deliverables, including: Change Strategies Change Plans Communication Plans Stakeholder Engagement Plans 5+ years of experience developing readiness programs, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and training programs. 4+ years supporting ERP change management initiatives (Finance, HCM/Payroll, Procurement, Supply Chain, or similar enterprise systems). Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
2+ years of experience using AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or NotebookLM. Experience leading and facilitating stakeholder meetings at all organizational levels. 2+ years of experience with Digital Adoption Platforms (e.g., WalkMe or similar). 2+ years of experience working within the Government of Alberta or supporting Alberta government ministries. 4+ years of public sector experience. Knowledge of Government of Alberta business plans, priorities, governance structures, and ministry reporting relationships
