We are looking on behalf of our client a dynamic Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) eager to embrace a unique career opportunity that blends administrative responsibilities with clinical expertise in a medical office specializing in pain management.
This role is located on-site at the Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll, Ontario, and is scheduled at least 1 day a week (Mondays).If you are looking to transition into a different work environment that values both your clinical knowledge and administrative skills, we invite you to apply. Scope and Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and cancellations.
- Assist with patient intake, gathering of medical history, and gather information on current medical concerns.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR).
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients or external healthcare providers.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and processing insurance claims.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers as needed.
Clinical Support
- Prepare patients for physician assessments or treatments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.
- Assist during patient examinations or procedures.
- Provide education to patients and encourage compliance with prescribed treatment plans.
- Manage and update patient medical charts and other clinical documentation.
Who We Are Looking For
- Active RPN license registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience in an administrative role in a medical setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of processing insurance claims and billing procedures
