About the role

Every senior broker at Morison started somewhere. A lot of them started exactly here.

They came in knowing nothing about insurance. Now they have loyal clients who've been with them for a decade, careers they're genuinely proud of, and a team that had their back the whole way up.

That's not luck. That's what happens when a company actually invests in its people.

If you're serious about building a career, not just landing a job, Morison is where you do it.

No insurance experience required. We'll teach you everything.

About Morison Insurance

Morison Insurance has been protecting Ontario families and their most important assets for over 30 years. What started as a 3-person office in downtown Hamilton is now a team of 100+ insurance professionals across 6 offices in Southern Ontario.

We're family-owned, community-rooted, and genuinely proud of the careers we've helped build. Many of our senior brokers started exactly where you are right now.

The Role

As a Junior Personal Lines Insurance Broker, you'll help everyday clients including homeowners, drivers, and families get the right coverage with the kind of service that keeps them coming back year after year.

You won't be thrown in the deep end. Within your first few weeks, you'll attend a dedicated 2-week training program to obtain your RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license, the provincial certification that makes you a fully qualified broker. We provide everything you need to walk in prepared and walk out licensed.

From there, your training continues on the floor: shadowing experienced brokers on live calls, working 1-on-1 with a dedicated mentor, and learning by doing with mentoring every step of the way.

What your day-to-day looks like:

  • Handle incoming client calls and deliver standout service

  • Review policies and make recommendations tailored to each client's situation

  • Build and maintain relationships that turn clients into loyal advocates

  • Identify new coverage opportunities and contribute to business growth

  • Keep records accurate, clear, and compliant

  • Continuously grow your insurance knowledge (we make this part of the job, not an afterthought)

  • Occasional travel between our Southern Ontario offices

Your RIBO License

To work as an insurance broker in Ontario, you need a RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license. Within your first few weeks, Morison will enroll you in a dedicated 2-week training course, and we cover the full cost. You bring the commitment. We'll handle the rest.
