From the Senators' Canadian Tire Centre, the Ottawa light-rail transit, the General Hospital, the Canadian War Museum, Landsdowne Park, and beyond, our expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including institutional, industrial, civil engineering, commercial, and residential.
This role supports the Production Manager and production department in day to day operations to facilitate scheduling, fabrication, quality control, and timely delivery to project sites. In addition to assisting with material receipt, shop coordination and production support, this role is responsible for receiving and processing rebar orders, handling counter sales and customer inquiries, and providing support to the sales team as needed to ensure accurate order fulfilment and excellent customer service.
About the Role - Your main responsibilities will include:
- Support the Shop Manager and Scheduler with daily shop operations and scheduling.
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials.
- Enter and process rebar orders, bar lists/tags, and counter sales.
- Assist customers (counter and phone), handle inquiries and walk ins.
- Coordinate and follow up on deliveries and pickups.
- Provide backup support to the sales and production teams as needed.
- Prepare and maintain delivery documentation (packing slips, barlists/tags) and help coordinate loading/unloading at the shop.
- Update and maintain order, production and customer records using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail) and company ERP/CRM systems.
- Generate and share daily/weekly production and sales reports as requested.
- Support shop safety and housekeeping practices; report hazards and assist with compliance tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned
About You - The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative or sales support role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; professional and courteous customer service approach.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical/product information to customers.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

- Salary between 45 000 and 55 000$/year depending on experience
