Role Summary:

The Social Media & Community Investment Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is responsible for the managing of multiple social media accounts, creating engaging content and community connections.

This role is key to enhancing the online presence of a diverse group of brands, including Air North, Chieftain Energy, and the Black Wolf Bistro, while supporting broader initiatives across events, retail, marketing, and communications. As part of a collaborative and multi-faceted Marketing Team, the coordinator champions community investment and outreach, using social media as a tool to connect with audiences, tell meaningful stories, and support the mission-driven work of each brand. This includes promoting community-focused programs, events, and partnerships through social media channels, and collaborating cross-functionally to amplify impact and drive engagement both digitally and on the ground.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create original multimedia content (photos, videos, graphics) and curate relevant third-party or user-generated content to enhance engagement on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Plan and manage a content calendar; schedule, publish, and monitor daily content across multiple social media accounts to support marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to plan, create, and deliver campaigns, promotions, and story telling
  • Actively engage with followers by responding to comments, tags, and mentions
  • Support on-the-ground event coverage, including live posting, photography, and videos
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align social media content with business goals
  • Monitor platform analytics to track performance and generate regular reports with data-driven recommendations

Must haves:

  • list must-have requirements (essential skills, experience or certifications)

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Minimum two (2) yearsof professional experience in social media management and digital content creation

  • Experience working in a corporate environment where success requires collaboration between multiple departments, contractors and vendors

  • A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities

  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support

  • Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

  • Fluency in written French considered an asset
  • Professional photography, video and/or graphic design experience an asset
