Position Summary

The Instructor guides the development of curriculum, courses, and methodologies to address the learning requirements within the School of Technology programs.

The Instructor works collaboratively with faculty and internal stakeholders to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities for learners of varying skill-levels and experience; delivers and develops related curriculum as assigned; supports internal research into continuous instructional improvement; and liaises with external stakeholders to support placement and partnership opportunities in industry.

Position responsibilities and accountabilities will include providing program and curriculum support, providing a positive learning experience for students, and building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and promote the department and the College.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • 2 years of industry experience (software development)

  • Demonstrable familiarity and experience in this discipline

  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead workshops, lectures and seminars

  • An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered

Strong preference will be given to internal candidates from Bow Valley College.
