The Opportunity
Lounsbury Heavy-Duty Truck Centre in Moncton is currently seeking a Licensed or Apprentice Body Shop Technician to join our team.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of body repair processes and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities:
- Review the damage report and estimates of repair cost, and plan work to be performed.
- Repair and replace front-end components, body components, doors, frame, and underbody components.
- Hammer out dents, buckles, and other defects using blocks and hammers.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents,s and seams.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills using wrenches and a cutting torch, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Perform wheel alignment and adjustments.
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
- File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.
- Accurate completion of work orders and timecards.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
- Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Completion of a three- to four-year motor unit body repair apprenticeship program
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Our success as a Volvo dealer in Moncton resulted in us being awarded the Mack franchise in 2002 and led to a successful expansion into the Fredericton market.
