  • Take notes, track follow-ups, and drive accountability on the CEO’s team goals and to-dos from key meetings and 1:1s
  • Serve as a confidential advisor and sounding board to the CEO, providing candid perspective, testing assumptions, and supporting sound decision-making.

Communication & Influence

  • Act as a liaison between the CEO’s office, leadership team, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and help run key internal and external content, including company all-hands, strategy discussions, investor conversations, board meetings, and public facing events such as user conferences
  • Draft and maintain briefing decks, onboarding materials, and tailored talking points for internal and external meetings, ensuring the CEO is equipped with clear, compelling narratives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and clarity in cascading strategic priorities.
  • Monitor the CEO’s inbox to prioritize, triage, and follow up on communications, ensuring timely responses and alignment with priorities

Leadership of the Office of the CEO

  • Manage and develop the Deputy Chief of Staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight.
  • Build a strong function that drives coordination, accountability, and execution discipline.
  • Create scalable processes to ensure initiatives and meetings are well-prepared, follow-ups are tracked, and outcomes are delivered.
  • Support CEO engagement in company events (e.g., RUGs, kickoffs) through preparation, coordination, and onsite logistics
  • Optimize the CEO’s time and focus by managing priorities, protecting bandwidth, and ensuring attention is directed to the highest-value opportunities.
  • Reinforce company values and drive organizational effectiveness by fostering alignment, transparency, and accountability across the leadership team.

Program & Initiative Support

  • Lead special projects and CEO-sponsored initiatives, ensuring they are well-structured, executed, and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Provide oversight and support for executive-level projects (e.g., board preparation, CEO-driven customer initiatives, or cross-functional priorities requiring CEO sponsorship).

Success Outcomes 1-3 Months

  • Establish trust with the CEO and leadership team.
  • Build a working rhythm with the Deputy Chief of Staff to ensure alignment and coverage.
  • Understand the CEO’s top priorities and begin coordinating execution support.
  • Demonstrate clear impact by streamlining meeting preparation and ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Leverage the Deputy Chief of Staff to scale capacity across the business
  • Regularly provide insights and recommendations that inform decision-making.

4-6 Months

  • Drive key initiatives from the CEO’s strategic agenda, showing measurable progress.
  • Establish the Office of CEO as a trusted, high-performing function that enables clarity, alignment, and execution across the organization.
  • Serve as a central point of collaboration and a trusted advisor, with the Deputy Chief of Staff operating as an effective extension of the office.

7 Months & beyond

  • Drive and deliver major strategic initiatives aligned with the CEO’s vision, ensuring measurable business impact.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the CEO, consistently providing insights that shape strategic decisions.
  • Enhance organizational alignment by ensuring clear communication of goals, priorities, and progress across all levels.
  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities, enabling the CEO to focus on the most critical issues.

What You Will Bring

  • 8–10+ years of experience in strategic, management, or Chief of Staff-like roles, ideally in fast-paced SaaS or growth environments
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence C-suite executives.
  • People leadership experience, including mentoring and developing high-performing team members.
  • Strong track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
