Position Summary:
The Director of Clinical Nutrition, Food and Environmental Services oversees the clinical nutrition, food services and environmental services functions (housekeeping, linen and pest control) at Guelph General Hospital. They develop budgets and long-range plans for all three programs based on current and future hospital needs.
The Director provides leadership and supervision to all personnel, ensuring services are delivered in partnership with patients and families, and aligned with GGH’s mission, vision, and values.
The Director is accountable for implementation of all departmental operations and initiatives, ensuring they align with departmental and strategic goals of the organization. They ensure the provision of high quality, safe, evidence-based services, in partnership with the patient and families

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Degree in a Health Related discipline
-
Experience in Clinical Nutrition, Food and Environmental Services, preferably in health care
-
3-5 years leadership experience
-
Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification
-
Experience supporting safe, patient-centered outcomes
-
Membership in good standing with a professional organization
-
Budget management experience
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution expertise

Demonstrated leadership of teams in complex healthcare systems using continuous improvement (i.e. LEAN) methodologies

Commitment to on-going learning and professional development
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills

Demonstrated success of organizational change initiatives that have improved both clinical and fiscal utilization

Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians

Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
