Company Description

Racing Forensics Inc. supports the integrity of horse racing through specialized regulatory services across Canada. The organization manages sample collection for the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA) Equine Drug Control Program at racetracks nationwide and provides TCO2 sample collection and testing for provincial regulatory bodies.

Role Description

Test Inspectors (Specimen Collectors) work on-site at racetracks and are responsible for collecting urine specimens and assisting with blood collection from racehorses in accordance with strict regulatory protocols and chain-of-custody procedures. The role includes verifying horse identification, completing and organizing documentation, labelling and securing samples, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the secure transport of specimens to the designated testing laboratory. Personnel with race officials to ensure compliance with sample collection and medication administration procedures and must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

Must have experience working with horses and able to handle horses safely Minimum of a secondary school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail, excellent recordkeeping skills, and the ability to follow standardized procedures.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

High level of professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling confidential information. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required based on race schedules. Must maintain independence and have no affiliation with horsepersons, including racehorse owners, trainers, grooms, or other racing participants.
