The opportunity: Reporting to the Vice-President, Advisor Marketing, the Manager, Advisor Marketing is responsible for leading and supporting the marketing needs of our investment advisors across the country. This includes building their profiles with marketing tools such as ads, brochures, newsletters, websites, social media, etc.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively with the transition team to ensure the efficient and successful onboarding of new advisory teams to Wellington-Altus.
- Providing onboarding advisors and teams with marketing support and collateral for their onboarding date.
- Acting as marketing subject matter expert for onboarding advisory teams to proactively and reactively address any questions or concerns they may have around marketing support prior to (and during) transition to Wellington-Altus.
- Liaising and collaborating with other members of the marketing team to ensure marketing tools and support are available as committed to for onboarding advisors.
- Presenting, in person or virtually, to transitioning advisory teams to communicate and set expectations around marketing support they can expect during the onboarding.
- Acting as a main marketing contact within our advisor marketing team for our network of investment advisors across the country as they look to market their services. and build their profiles with marketing tools such as ads, brochures, newsletters, websites, social media, etc.).
- Participating in branch visits to support 1-1 advisor marketing consultations.
- Supporting new advisor teams with all marketing needs when they join Wellington-Altus.
- Supporting special projects and marketing team members as required. Oversee junior colleagues and provide support for team onboarding.
- Partnering with the Digital and Creative Marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of advisor marketing strategies across all online platforms
- Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external teams when it comes to advisor marketing needs and requests.
- Fostering strong relationships with advisors to understand their marketing challenges and opportunities, providing tailored solutions that drive business results.
- Offering guidance, best practices and marketing resources that enable advisors to effectively market themselves and their services.
- Managing day-to-day external and internal partner relationships (timelines, workbacks, status updates, approvals, data management, etc.).
- Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges, tailoring marketing strategies to address them.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to align marketing efforts with sales initiatives and product offerings.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or similar field of study.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing.
- Experience within the financial services or advisor marketing space an asset.
- Deep knowledge of various marketing platforms and tools including Content Management Systems (CMS), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), digital advertising platforms, email marketing and lead nurturing platforms, social media management and analytics, content creation and creative design tools, customer journey mapping and marketing attribution.
- Proficiency with the MSOffice suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals.
- Excellent attitude and commitment to providing extraordinary service.
- An excellent attention to detail.
- Exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills; an ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, across multiple mediums (in-person, over the phone, and virtually).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A high tolerance for ambiguity; highly adaptive and able to manage a large volume of competing priorities.
- Strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
Conditions of employment:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to travel within Canada up to 0-5% of the time as is operationally required.
