Seasonal Worker - Visitor Information Centre
Overview:
As part of the Department of Corporate Services, the City of Humboldt is seeking to fill one (1) full-time seasonal Visitor Information Centre Seasonal Worker. This position is expected to start early May and is anticipated to last until approximately October 12th, 2026.
Under the direction of the Communications Manager, the seasonal employee will be working at the Humboldt Historic Campground and Visitor Information Centre and assisting in operations of the Mini Golf and Campground.
Main duties will consist of general administrative tasks such as filing, taking campground and mini golf bookings and payments, maintaining records, preparing basic communications, and assisting with marketing activities such as social media updates or promotional materials. In addition to office duties, this position performs light outdoor and facility maintenance, including tidying shared spaces such as the kitchen, and contributing to overall site cleanliness and upkeep.
Compensation:

This is an in-scope (union) position under CUPE Local 2359 with a starting rate of pay of $19.07 per hour (2025 rate).

General work hours are Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch.

Employees are eligible to participate in the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) which is a 9% employer matched defined pension plan.

Employees have access to a free leisure pass which grants access to the Fitness Centre, Aquatics Centre, Drop-in Sports, and Public Skate.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable with social media
- Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
- First Aid & CPR is an asset
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
