About the role

Gas Turbine Overhaul Technician (Level 1 – Level 4) With GE LM2500 Overhaul Experience Purpose As an Overhaul Technician with demonstrated LM2500 overhaul experience, you will be actively involved in the hands-on overhaul processes for various Aero-Derivative and Light Industrial gas turbine models. Working under the guidance of our senior specialists, your role will be crucial in ensuring that each turbine is meticulously disassembled, inspected, reassembled, and tested to meet our high standards of performance and reliability. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop technical skills in a highly specialized field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of gas turbines, following strict protocols to ensure quality and safety.
  • Perform detailed inspections of turbine components, identifying wear and damage and documenting findings accurately.
  • Document and track maintenance procedures and results, ensuring accurate records for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Support the development and execution of testing protocols to ensure turbines meet operational standards post-overhaul.
  • Follow guidance from senior technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during the overhaul process and engine testing (levels 1 to 3).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient overhaul process.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the company’s continuous improvement philosophy to improve workshop production.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in maintaining detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and testing activities.

Routines

  • Daily: Participate in team briefings to discuss tasks for the day and prioritize assignments
  • Weekly: Attend team meetings to review the week's progress, discuss any challenges, and plan for upcoming projects.
  • Monthly: Participate in safety and process training sessions to ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards.

Work Location:

  • 8600 Old Fort Road Fort St. John, B.C, Canada V1J 8B3, with ability to work on customer sites as and when required.

Hours

  • 40 Hours per week
  • 7:00am to 3:30pm / Monday to Friday
  • Optional overtime, as and when available.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in the overhaul of GE LM2500 gas turbines and power turbines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use various hand and power tools.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
