As a Strategy Liaison with the Calgary Fire Department (CFD), you will support the strategies and work area priorities for the Organizational Effectiveness and Engagement Team. You will support project coordination, implementation, and basic data management for department-wide strategies and projects. Primary duties include:
- Provide administrative and strategic support to CFD's committees.
- Support the development and maintenance of standardized tools, templates, processes and committee management systems.
- Assist in developing and delivering project-related communication materials, including handouts, posters, presentations, and other campaign assets.
- Manage primary digital platforms (intranet and internal website) to ensure accessible and transparent updates for staff.
- Create and review content for communications tactics, project marketing materials and website content.
- Plan, support and facilitate internal and external facing events.
- Support events designed to contribute to the advancement of CFD's service goals and build community trust.
- Support employee engagement projects for all CFD staff, organize and manage engagement data.
- Arrange workshops, meeting and learning opportunities.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related area and at least 1 year of related experience in strategy, organizational effectiveness, organizational change, project management and/or program development.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Canva is required.
- Experience coordinating events, meetings, training sessions and project campaigns is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience supporting psychological safety and inclusion initiatives will be considered an asset.
- Presentation, writing, facilitation and organizational skills combined with strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment, political acumen and good judgement.

Workstyle:
- This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. Such arrangements are based on the operational requirements of the position and employee suitability and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $37.77 - 50.50 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
