Position Summary: Reporting to the Lead, Recruitment the Talent Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to support the Talent Management function at Carewest. This position is responsible for candidate onboarding, including new hire paperwork and criminal record checks; preparation and generation of offer letters; review and application of candidate portability; coordination of day one orientation; updating internal and external job postings; maintenance of candidate databases & applicant tracking systems (ATS); processing employee transfers & extensions; generation of recruitment reports to support with vacancy management; overseeing distribution of employee identification; triaging and responding to internal/external requests via the central talent inbox. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
This role has access to sensitive and confidential situations and information, requiring a high level of professionalism and diplomacy. In keeping with Carewest’s Vison, Mission & Values, policies and Talent Management standards, this position maintains professional and ethical standards at all times. The demonstration of initiative and effective relationship building is critical for success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree or diploma, with a focus in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Minimum of 2 years recruitment experience
- Advanced computer skills required
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Experience with LEVER, FileMaker, DocuSign, and/or Sterling Backcheck are considered an asset
- This position requires high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management, communication, organizational skills and a professional demeanor are required
