Job Title: Sustainability Intern
Job Type: Full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week), Temporary (Starting June 22, 2026/ 8-week contract)
Schedule: Weekdays
Salary: $20/hour

What you’ll be doing:
- Collecting and recording data on donated textiles, including brand, type, and material composition.
- Sorting and tracking plastic recycling streams by type and color to support proper diversion processes.
- Monitoring and documenting product quality to support sustainability and waste reduction analysis.
- Supporting organics recycling programs by tracking participation, weights, and site compliance.
- Assisting with energy and sustainability reporting by compiling and validating data from multiple sources.
- Conducting waste audits at Impact Centres and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and campaigns (e.g., Earth Month, Culture Days) and contributing to environmental engagement activities.
What you bring to the table:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately collect and record data.
- Analytical mindset with an interest in sustainability metrics and environmental impact.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Interest in sustainability, recycling systems, and circular economy principles.
