WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Jr. Customer Service Coordinator, reporting to the ExSteel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting component projects from quotation through final delivery while ensuring customer needs are handled in a timely, professional, and solutions-focused manner.
You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, coordinating internal departments, and supporting the continued growth of the ExSteel team.

Ensure that quotes and orders are priced accurately and completed in a timely manner.

Manage customer complaints, project changes, back charges, and associated costs in an efficient and ethical manner.

Resolve customer issues related to materials, project details, and construction methods throughout the duration of the project, including post-project support and occasional on-site customer assistance.

Build customer loyalty and represent the ExSteel brand by acting as the primary liaison between customers and ExSteel.

Prepare quotes, bills of material, and enter orders utilizing the B.O.M. program while maintaining accurate customer data within CRM and related management systems.

Ensure all departments have the information necessary to meet project schedules and deadlines, including establishing credit and payment terms in accordance with Finance policies and procedures.

Establish and manage agreed-upon payment terms within the order management system.

Expedite projects from order placement through final shipping to maintain delivery agreements and customer expectations.

Communicate schedule changes related to material availability, order processing, or fabrication delays to internal departments, customers, and District Managers in a timely manner.

Price re-roof projects requiring drafting and engineering support.
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer service files, CRM records, Visual systems, and related correspondence.

Coordinate with production and shipping teams regarding trailer requirements, customer pickups, and shipping schedules.

Prepare sketches of customized parts for production.
-
Confirm material availability with purchasing and stock departments for immediate pick-up orders.

Review and interpret Structural and Architectural drawings submitted by customers.

Verify customer credit standing and discuss payment terms based on order requirements.

Provide feasible lead times based on current production schedules.

Determine and communicate delivery schedules and customer offload capabilities.

Inform customers about delivery dates and any potential delays.

Learn to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.

Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation (OHSA) and promote safe working practices.

Participate in continuous learning and collaboration within a diverse team environment.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Post-secondary Diploma or Degree related to Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required.

Strong customer relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, product tolerances, and production capabilities.
-
Knowledge of metal building construction methods and details.
-
Ability to interpret Structural and Architectural drawings.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, SharePoint, CRM systems, and/or Bluebeam.
-
Drafting experience including AutoCAD and/or other drafting software considered an asset.
-
French language skills considered an asset.
