Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking.
• Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in food quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support cooks and other kitchen staff in various tasks as needed.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Participate in regular cleaning duties, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Skills

• Experience in food service or the restaurant industry is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
