MSP Senior Technical Lead / Operations & Growth Manager
About the role
Overview:
We are looking for a senior MSP professional with deep technical expertise in hardware and Windows Server environments, who can lead our technical team and drive both day-to-day operations and long-term business growth. This role blends hands-on technical work, planning, and leadership — ensuring reliable client service while helping expand our service divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor technicians, manage escalations, and oversee workloads.
- Hardware & Server Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server environments (Windows Server 2019/2022, Hyper-V, VMware, Azure, AWS).
- Infrastructure Planning: Design and implement IT infrastructure roadmaps, capacity planning, and upgrade strategies for client environments.
- Operations Management: Ensure smooth day-to-day MSP operations (ticketing, SLAs, monitoring, RMM/PSA).
- Project Delivery: Lead client projects such as migrations, server upgrades, cloud adoption, and disaster recovery planning.
- Growth & Divisions: Work with leadership to expand services in areas like cloud hosting, cybersecurity, and compliance.
- Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor, building client relationships and spotting opportunities for infrastructure improvements or service expansion.
- Strategic Planning: Provide input on new technologies, service offerings, and processes that support long-term MSP growth.
Skills & Experience:
- 7–10 years in IT, with strong background in Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
- Solid experience with physical hardware (Dell/HP/Lenovo servers, RAID, storage solutions).
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware).
- Cloud and hybrid expertise (Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, AWS).
- Strong project planning, documentation, and client communication skills. Experience leading MSP teams and managing technical delivery.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in infrastructure architecture and scaling MSP service offerings.
