Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across departments (Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Culinary) to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable data insights.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Looker Studio**,** ensuring accuracy, clarity, and usability.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analyses to support decision-making across the organization, including deep dives into key business metrics like acquisition, retention, fulfillment, and margin performance.
- Extract, transform, and validate data obtained from various systems (SQL databases, APIs, Google Sheets, etc.) to build clean and consistent datasets for analysis.
- Develop and maintain standardized data models and metrics that promote a single source of truth across teams.
- Build and maintain Google Sheets automation scripts (Apps Script) to streamline manual reporting, data entry, and cross-system data syncing tasks.
- Monitor data quality and proactively identify inconsistencies or gaps in data integrity, working with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Automate recurring data requests and streamline manual reporting processes.
- Document dashboards, data definitions, and analytical methodologies for transparency and repeatability.
- Contribute to Fresh Prep’s data-driven culture by helping non-technical users interpret dashboards and make data-informed decisions.
- Stay current with industry trends and tools in analytics, visualization, and data modeling to continuously improve Fresh Prep’s BI capabilities.
What We Are Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in a data, analytics, or business intelligence role.
- Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation is an asset.
- Experience with Google Sheets, including Google Apps Script for automation and integrations.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts and data transformation tools such as dbt or equivalent frameworks.
- Comfortable working with APIs and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift).
- Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and best practices for maintaining data quality and consistency.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills — able to simplify complex data findings for non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
What You Can Expect
- The salary for this position is $68,000 - $75,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
