Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essentialNOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application.JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the manager and the regional health and safety coordinator, the advisor actively participates in the planning, organization and implementation of occupational health and safety measures, standards and regulations in Vitalité Health Network facilities, with primary assignment to Zone 6. The incumbent serves on various joint occupational health and safety committees and actively contributes to the implementation of recommendations and any necessary follow-up. They also provide staff training on various aspects of occupational health and safety.The advisor ensures rigorous management of WorkSafe New Brunswick (WSNB) claims. They coordinate accident management and participate in accident prevention through the joint occupational health and safety committee. They represent the employer before the WSNB appeals tribunal and provide a support service to department heads or managers regarding occupational health and safety.All these duties are performed in collaboration with the human resources team, managers, as well as stakeholders and organizations involved in maintaining and developing the work capacities of Vitalité Health Network employees. Other related duties may also be added for the smooth operation of human resources. REQUIREMENTS: Recognized degree in the occupational health and safety field; Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent; Three to five years' experience in occupational health and safety or disability management; Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations; Working knowledge of the principles of hazard and risk management associated with occupational health and safety or knowledge acquired as part of a training program; Knowledge of disability management; Keen organizational skills, excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a demanding, high-stress environment with tight deadlines; Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills; Physical ability to perform assigned duties; Good work history (performance and attendance); Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values; Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
