About the role
Join an established, global non-profit organization as the part-time Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on a 6-month contract. The Interim CFO will provide strategic and operational leadership to the finance function during a transitional period, ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance, and high-quality reporting, while advancing key organizational priorities and finance transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is collaborative, kind, and adaptable, able to shift priorities seamlessly and thrive in a fast-changing environment while guiding finance teams and supporting organizational transformation. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to gender equality will enable you to build trust with senior leadership, the board, and external partners, providing strategic financial guidance and sound governance throughout this period. Reporting to the COO, the main responsibilities include:
- Oversee corporate and grants finance, ensuring strong governance, internal controls and strategic financial management
- Ensure funder requirements are met, project accounting is accurate, and donor-funded programs have robust oversight
- Drive continuous improvements and deliver timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders, supporting fiancé transformation initiatives
- Support the COO in board and committee activities, risk oversight, and external audit engagement
- Provide financial insight and guidance to the COO and Executive Leadership team to support the organization's priorities and transformation

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Completed CPA designation is preferred
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
- Minimum 8+ years of strong expertise in financial management and corporate accounting
- Senior financial leadership experience
- NFP experience, considered an asset
- Experience with PeopleSoft and SharePoint is an asset
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $140,000 - $170,000 annual salary range (will be prorated)
- Health and dental benefits
- Prorated vacation and sick days
- Remote work environment
