What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Executive Director, Thought Leadership, Content and Communications within the Wealth Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of all French communications and translation services, including advisor communications, internal business communications, product marketing material and web site content. A major part of the role is vendor relationship management and review of French content provided by approved CIBC French translation service providers in order to ensure accurate and consistent French adaptation.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
- Relationship Building - Partner with teams to develop and execute French communication support that meets the needs of all wealth clients. Develop strong strategic partnerships with stakeholders across CIBC Commercial Banking and Wealth including: CIBC Business Effectiveness, CIBC Global Asset Management (including Institutional), CIBC Private Wealth Management and Wood Gundy. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from product management group, sales, legal, compliance and outside vendors. Develop, manage and maintain relationships with external suppliers, focusing on managing costs and streamlining.
- Managing French Translations and Communications - Perform and project manage English to French translation and communications (sometimes in both languages) for strategic business partners. Project manage requests sent to these vendors, including submitting requests, and reviewing/proofing the translated material to ensure its quality and consistency and that voice and language of CIBC Wealth is present and properly applied. Manage cost and invoicing of external translation services. Partner, if required, with CIBC Translation Relationship Manager for vendor relation, project management and invoicing issues.
- Digital Communications - Provide French content to all CIBC wealth advisor digital communications. Identify web opportunities, and develop and implement online strategies accordingly. Contribute to the success of CIBC Wealth’s video, podcast, HTML email communications and internal social media platform.
Who You Are
- You have a degree specializing in French Translation.
- You can demonstrate 5+ years of experience in French Translation and/or copywriting, project management and/or marketing, within the financial services industry.
- You have experience working in an investment management or financial services environment. Marketing communications experience would be an asset.
- You're fluent in both French and English.
- You’re a certified professional. Current accreditation and good standing with Canadian Securities Course (CSC) would be an asset.
