We are seeking a Front-End Developer to join our team in building high-performance, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+), along with strong skills in API integration and working within Agile teams.

This is a hybrid role (2–3 days/week onsite) with locations in Halifax, NS; Fredericton, NB; Moncton, NB; Stratford, PEI; or St. John’s, NL.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and Python Flask services.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library) and best practices.
• Optimize application performance and implement scalable front-end architecture.
• Use Git for version control and contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in design discussions and contribute to UI/UX improvements.

• Bachelor’s Degree (mandatory).

• 5+ years of strong experience with React (mandatory).

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite).

• Experience with state management (Redux, Context API).

• Familiarity with API integration (REST/GraphQL) and JSON data handling.

• Basic experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (e.g., App Services, Storage).

• Exposure to Python Flask APIs and backend integration.

• Strong knowledge of Git and Azure DevOps workflows.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other frameworks (Vue.js, Angular) and Node.js.

• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment best practices.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000 - $110,000.
