Wesdome Gold Mines has had over 30 years of continuous gold mining operations in Canada. The Company is 100% Canadian focused with a pipeline of projects in various stages of development. The Company’s strategy is to build Canada’s next intermediate gold producer, producing 200,000+ ounces from two mines in Ontario and Quebec. The Eagle River Complex in Wawa, Ontario is currently producing gold the Eagle River Underground Mine. Wesdome is actively exploring its brownfields asset, the Kiena Complex in Val d’Or, Quebec. The Kiena Complex is a fully permitted former mine with a 930-metre shaft and 2,000 tonne-per-day mill. The Company trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “WDO”.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Procurement & Warehouse General Foreman, the Warehouse Foreman is a key member of the site Finance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES PERFORMED

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain safe working conditions.
  • Be a leader in the warehouse (Lead and control activities of warehouse personnel including training, coaching and development)
  • Manage warehouse staff, delegate tasks and assist to ensure day-to-day operations are running efficiently.
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
  • Deal with employee and costumer concerns
  • Ensure Procurement and Warehouse policies and procedures are communicated, applied and enforced.
  • Monitors inventory levels and inventory movement using SAP system and anticipates or reacts to shortages and overstocks immediately.
  • Analyzes warehouse stock to determine actions needed to improve stock levels.
  • Administer, coordinate and process purchasing instruments (i.e. contracts, purchase orders, etc.) for Inventory/Stocked goods. Ensure consistency and compliance with terms and conditions, governing legislation, procurement and contracting policies, guidelines, procedures and signing authorities.
  • Maintains ordering criteria such as consumption, MRP and forecast profiles, supplier lead times, rounding profiles, etc. in SAP
  • Investigates inventory management incidents in order to verify and resolve incidents.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all Corporation information.
  • Participate in accident/incident investigations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working with SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team structure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence.

SHIFT SCHEDULE

  • Dayshift
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 7 days on 7 days off
