The Position

Following the success of securing a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking a highly motivated Intermediate to Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing Vancouver team.

As a key member of our team, you will lead the electrical design for a variety of small, medium, and large-scale building projects. This includes power distribution, lighting, fire detection, and other building services systems. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities within the office and play an active role in driving our growth and success in the Vancouver market.

Who we’re Looking for

  • Legally entitled to live and work in Canada.
  • P.Eng registration with EGBC is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Revit is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical building services engineering design.
  • Proven experience across the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of relevant electrical engineering codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical load calculation tools.
  • Ability to independently complete engineering analysis and design of mechanical systems as well as liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ability to verify design work completed by others and provide mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers.
  • Experience with field review of mechanical and plumbing installations with the ability to defect work and provide quality inspections on behalf of NDY or the client.
  • Strong technical background that you want to continue to build on with experience across different market sectors including residential, office, education and thelike.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.

  • Team and project leadership experience and ability to manage resources, financial performance, and delivery of multi-discipline projects as a project leader and as the key interface with our clients.
  • Strong relationships with local clients and industry partners.
  • Proven business development experience and work-winning track record.
  • Ability to contribute to the holistic leadership of our Vancouver office.

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. Our salary ranges are determined by job family and level. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
