Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
The sessional lecturer will be responsible for teaching and administration for OCCU 3500.03, Human Occupations Across the Lifespan in the Summer 2026 term, which includes in-person delivery of provided module content, evaluation of students in accordance with the provided syllabus, and if applicable, supervision of teaching assistant(s).
Designed for students from any discipline, this course explores how human development from infancy through late adulthood shapes participation, performance and meaning in occupations. Far beyond employment, ‘occupation’ means those purposeful activities that occupy time, energy, and attention.
Qualifications/Requirements Of Position
Graduate degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant health-related field and experience in Occupational Therapy / Science is an asset. PhD is an asset. Previous experience in teaching (especially with undergraduate students) in a health-related field is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills and scheduling flexibility. Experience with teaching in face-to-face environment is an asset.
Salary Range/Pay Rate In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement guidelines for Part time Academics
