Job Title: Fixed Wireless Infrastructure Supervisor
Location: Lockport
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Sr Manager Fixed Wireless and Coax
Job Summary:
Reporting to the SR Manager of Fixed Wireless, the Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day to day operations of the infrastructure team. This team is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication towers and related infrastructure. The Supervisor is expected to provide effective leadership and guidance within the division working collaboratively with other divisional leaders, in promoting a strong, resilient team, who delivers excellent support to the network. The Supervisor will also work collaboratively with inter/intra-departmental stakeholders to support a collaborative, high-functioning team. This role will be both in office and in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising daily operations of a tower crew.
- Coordinate with other teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Assisting in the planning, scheduling and execution of fixed wireless projects
- Responsible for generating accurate reports, tracking key activities, and maintaining detailed records in support of operational goals.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety standards, company policies, and project specifications.
- Climb and work at heights on various tower types (self-supporting, guyed, monopoles).
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain antennas, lines, and other wireless equipment including network switches and routers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Perform quality checks and regular routine maintenance on towers and RCO’s and document work performed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working conditions.
- Travel to various job sites as required (may include out-of-town stays).
Qualifications:
- 2+ years strong leadership or supervisory experience in a similar role.
- Experience in tower climbing and telecommunications construction.
- Strong experience with MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficient in reporting, tracking, and documenting operational activities
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Valid tower climbing/rescue certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Class 5 or higher; Class 1 or 3 is an asset).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and safety documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment.
- Basic electrical experience and/or Class M an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Travel is required throughout the province with occasional overnight stays
- Long hours, including weekends, may be required during peak project periods.
- Exposure to heights of over 200 feet.
