Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling Consultant to support our expanding SAP practice. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep functional expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to rapidly translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable SAP solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership in solution design, excellence in delivery execution, and the capability to operate effectively within a global, fast‑paced, and cross‑functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Finance Solution Delivery Lead and execute full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, enhancements, and global rollouts, from initial requirements gathering through post‑go‑live stabilization. Configure and support core SAP Finance and Controlling functionalities, including: General Ledger Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Asset Accounting Bank Accounting Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting Internal Orders Product Costing Tax/VAT Intercompany billing and cash management Convert business requirements into immediate, actionable SAP configurations and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality solutions. Provide expert guidance to business stakeholders on SAP best practices and process optimization.
Functional Design & Solution Architecture
Develop comprehensive functional specifications for complex RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows). Collaborate closely with ABAP development teams and integration partners to ensure accurate and efficient technical delivery. Lead functional, integration, and user acceptance testing cycles, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines. Support production deployments and provide structured hypercare assistance.
Integration & Enterprise Process Management
Design and maintain integrated end‑to‑end business processes across SAP Finance, Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and related modules. Support and troubleshoot integrations with external financial and enterprise systems, including: Banking platforms VIM OneSource/Vertex Other financial applications Drive cross‑functional issue resolution and ensure seamless process continuity across systems.
Financial Operations & Global Business Processes
Configure and support complex intercompany and intracompany processes across multiple legal entities. Design and optimize intercompany Stock Transport Order (STO) flows, cross‑company billing, and transfer pricing scenarios. Ensure all SAP solutions comply with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and global statutory and tax requirements.
Revenue Recognition
Support revenue accounting processes, including event‑based revenue recognition within SAP. Experience with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) is strongly preferred. Translate revenue models and contractual terms into compliant SAP configurations.
Strategic Leadership & Advisory Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders by understanding strategic objectives and recommending SAP‑enabled business transformation opportunities. Lead Fit‑to‑Standard workshops, business process assessments, and solution discovery sessions to align SAP capabilities with business goals. Challenge existing business processes and recommend industry best practices, simplification opportunities, and process standardization rather than replicating legacy solutions. Develop executive‑ready presentations, solution roadmaps, and decision papers for steering committees and senior leadership. Provide thought leadership on SAP S/4HANA innovations, emerging technologies, AI, automation, and Clean Core principles to identify opportunities that increase business value. Perform impact assessments, solution options analysis, and effort estimations to support business decisions and project planning. Partner with client leadership to define implementation strategies, governance models, deployment approaches, and change management considerations. Mentor junior consultants and contribute to practice development through reusable accelerators, methodologies, and knowledge sharing. Support pre‑sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal development, estimations, and client workshops. Build long‑term client relationships by proactively identifying improvement opportunities beyond the immediate project scope.
Role Expectations
Demonstrated ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into SAP solutions with minimal turnaround time. Strong ownership of deliverables, with the ability to operate independently and drive outcomes without extensive oversight. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops, influence stakeholders, and guide decision‑making. Proven track record of delivering high‑quality solutions in complex, global environments. Ability to travel for project delivery, stakeholder workshops, and global deployment activities (approximately 20–30%, varying by project phase and business needs).
