Our client in Oakville is looking for a new Lab Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. To be considered, you would need experience working for a plastic injection moulding company as a Lab Technician.

Location: Oakville, Ontario. 100% On Site Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Vacancy Status: This is an active vacancy. Compensation : $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities Perform testing on plastic parts Record and test data Assist in material trials Prepare raw materials for moulding Set up an operate lab moulding equipment Troubleshoot mould defects Ensure lab equipment is properly calibrated Follow SOP’s

Minimum Requirements Diploma or degree in mechanical engineer or plastics A minimum of 2 years of work experience (post graduation) working in an injection moulding lab. Working knowledge of plastic materials and lab testing Work experience with plastic tensile testing Experience reading CAD drawings and blueprints Work experience using lab tools such as verniers and calipers Able to lift up to 50 pounds
