About the role
Arise Talent Hub, on behalf of our valued client, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join a leading team in the nuclear and energy sector . This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong engineering background to lead large, multidisciplinary energy infrastructure projects with a focus on nuclear power and power generation systems.
The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced project management expertise and the ability to collaborate across diverse technical and operational teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-stakes environment and is passionate about delivering projects that power the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management including scope, schedule, budget, performance, safety, and quality
- Oversee large, complex energy projects with substantial technical and commercial impact
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, safety, and construction teams to meet project goals
- Identify, assess, and resolve project risks with innovative and effective solutions
- Ensure timely reporting and communication through proposals, project updates, and presentations
- Develop and maintain project schedules including critical paths, cost loading, and Earned Value Analysis (EVA)
- Manage procurement, materials, and vendor performance
- Prepare and present major project proposals and execution plans
- Provide leadership to junior staff, mentoring them and reviewing complex technical documents
- Maintain documentation for project closeout and support historical data retention for future analysis
- Travel to project sites as required across the GTA and other Ontario regions
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, I&C, or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 years of project management experience in multidisciplinary engineering or energy-related projects (required)
- Experience in nuclear plant systems, skid-based designs, or international energy projects is highly valued
- Strong proficiency with project software such as Primavera P6 , SAP , Microsoft Office Suite , and other related tools
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement experience
- Excellent leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results under pressure
Assets
- Project Management certification (PMP or CAPM)
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility (PEO)
- Security clearance eligibility for nuclear facilities
- Willingness to travel to client sites (GTA, Kincardine, Tiverton, and surrounding areas)
