About the role

We Offer Location: Princeton, BC Living out allowance provided for eligible employees working away from their home location Job Status: Temporary full time - Project-based role with an anticipated 18-month project starting in mid-August. We firmly believe that diversity fosters innovation and contributes to the success of Arrow Overview In Business since 1919 and still growing, Arrow is a leader in bulk commodity hauling, reload operations, freight management, logistics, consulting, and technology with operations throughout Canada and the U.S. Our Arrow Project Services team is looking for experienced Dozer Operators for a project at Princeton's Copper Mountain Mine. The Dozer Operator will perform heavy-duty tasks on a mine site, including excavation, earthworks, and site preparation. The Dozer Operator will work in rough, uneven terrain while being exposed to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. Safety will be a primary focus, as the operator works in proximity to heavy machinery, other workers, and potential hazards associated with mining operations. This position will primarily operate a Komatsu D375 dozer, but may also operate a Komatsu HD1500 Haul truck or other equipment as needed. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment to dig, move, and grade earth and materials Perform logged inspections, routine maintenance, and clearing away debris (tracks, in cab, under screener) on equipment daily Assist with road prep, snow removal, sanding, and watering to ensure the facility is accessible and maintained through the season Regular manual labour to clean and maintain the facility and equipment Provide internal and external customer service excellence Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements Provide feedback to employer on working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew May be asked to travel to other job sites to assist if necessary Ability to understand cross training on all functions at site Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager You Possess Previous relevant experience operating various heavy equipment in a civil construction environment Level 1 First Aid Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Must have reliable transportation Rock Truck, Dozer, or Grader experience is an asset Ability to pass pre-employment testing Experience with routine maintenance operations Ability to lift 50lbs Mechanically inclined Experience working with computers is an asset Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment Embodies Arrow’s Values: Safety, Quality, Responsibility, Teamwork, Integrity and Fun!
