About the position: The Medical Transportation Program provides transportation services for community members on and off reserve. The Administrative Assistant will work as part of the Health Care Team under the supervision of the Medical Transportation Coordinator.

Duties:
➢ Reviewing and summarizing miscellaneous reports and documents, preparing briefing notes as necessary;
➢ Providing general office functions such as accepting phone calls, typing, establishing and maintaining a filing system, operating office equipment, coordinating and distributing incoming supplies and mail; Develop and Maintain filing system;
➢ Maintaining positive public relations on behalf of the Band, by greeting clients as they call or enter the facility;
➢ Maintain, review and organize time sheets on a timely basis and bi-weekly staff attendance sheets;
➢ Maintaining schedules and makes travel accommodation arrangements as required;
➢ Advising band members of procedures, they follow, if they wish financial assistance for Medical Transportation;
➢ Preparing necessary forms, certificates of medical attendance and transportation warrants;

Qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 or Certificate in Administration or Office Education; Combination of Education and Experience may be considered; Previous experience with Health Data entry is preferred but not required; Certified First Aide & CPR is required or willing to obtain; Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset; Ability to speak/understand the Woodland Cree language is an asset; Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
