Medicine Hat College invites applications for a full-time, term specific Coordinator, Corporate Communications within our Advancement team. This position is for a leave replacement.
####A little about the role:
The Coordinator of Corporate Communications is a key member of the Advancement team, playing an important role in shaping how the college communicates with the public, media, government partners, donors, and employees. This position leads proactive and responsive communications initiatives, including media relations, internal communications, issues management, and brand‑aligned storytelling.
In this role you will support college leaders, collaborate closely with Advancement and external partners, and ensures that all communications are timely, accurate, and aligned with institutional priorities.
####Details:
As a successful applicant you'll have:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public Relations or related major(s) OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of progressively responsible communications experience, ideally within a complex organization such as post-secondary, public sector, or non-profit.
- Demonstrated experience writing for executives, developing communication plans and managing media relations.
- Experience supporting issues and crisis communications is strongly preferred.
- Experience mentoring or coordinating the work of others.
Appointment Term: April 1, 2026 – October 1, 2027
Salary: $73,466 - $85,936 gross per annum
