Position Status:Maternity Leave 1-year Contract
Position Summary
TheSenior HR Coordinatorwill provide timely and professional Human Resources support to the division, while ensuring the appropriate governing legislation is adhered to. This on-site opportunity helps support our Toronto (North York) facility with additional support to our Barrie location. They will also act as the first point of contact for HR and QEHS inquiries from employees. This role will oversee the day-to-day execution of applicable programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with the Organization's objectives and functional HR goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead various aspects of recruitment process, including start up recruitment supporting our recycling operation.
- Support and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees
- Provide guidance and instruction to employees and leaders on Human Resources policies, programs, and systems.
- Support and grow our employee culture engagement
- Actively participates in the development of HR programs and initiatives and supports the implementation and maintenance.
- Employee relations including coaching and counselling as required
- Assist with all health & safety functions, including OHS compliance, investigations, JHSC, training, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Active participation in JHSC, along with promoting safety awareness.
- Support Plant Wide Meetings, maintain and update employee communications.
- Complete onboarding orientation for new hires.
- Maintaining employee files electronically
- Prepare and issue various monthly reports (absenteeism, recruitment, training, etc.)
- Support HR reporting, performance, and merit process.
- Coordinate and participate in social events as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree/certificate in Human Resources Management.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Previous experience in health and safety would be an asset.
- Previous experience working in operations/logistics/manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Ability to interact with various levels of the organization.
- Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
- Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Exceptional interpersonal communication (written and verbal).
- Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem solve.
