Who you are
You’re a hands-on, security-minded IT leader who thrives on building and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure. You’re equally comfortable managing internal systems like M365, HubSpot, and identity access as you are deploying and optimizing Azure environments, Kubernetes clusters, and core network infrastructure. You think proactively about security, compliance, and risk, ensuring endpoints, applications, and infrastructure are protected and audit-ready. You bring strong technical depth, sound judgment, and a calm, solutions-oriented approach to supporting both internal teams and customer-facing security requirements.
What you will do
- Manage internal email and collaboration tools
- Configure internal key company-wide applications (Hubspot, Connectwise, M365, etc.)
- Take ownership of identity and access management
- Manage devices and laptops
- Own VPN, Wi-Fi, office networking
- Secure endpoints
- Lead SOC2 internal controls and compliance
- Manage infrastructure supporting product such as:
- OpenSearch & Kubernetes (K8s) cluster deployment and configuration
- VM deployment and restore procedures
- Azure deployment and cost/resource optimization
- Server, network and security infrastructure
- Oversee application security and vulnerability management
- Administer risk and security questionnaires for customers and prospects
- Direct internal and external DNS management
- Head up SSL certificate management
What you need to do it
- 4–7 years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles, supporting production-grade environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including configuration, optimization, and ongoing management.
- Proven experience leveraging Terraform for infrastructure as code in live production environments.
- Solid Linux administration capabilities, with Ubuntu preferred.
- Deep understanding of core networking principles, including BGP, OSPF, VLAN configuration (Cisco), DNS architecture, and IPSec VPN technologies.
- Experience designing and managing identity and access systems, including Active Directory, IAM frameworks, SAML/OAuth2, and LDAP.
- Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Defender, and Intune.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control workflows (GitHub or GitLab).
- Experience working within structured ticketing systems such as Jira (ConnectWise considered an asset).
- Exposure to security and vulnerability management tools, including Microsoft Defender and scanning platforms such as Tenable or Nessus.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills, disciplined documentation practices, and a demonstrated sense of ownership over systems and processes.
- Working knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and operational best practices.
