Project Manager (Enterprise Software Implementation | Manufacturing)
Location: London, ON Job Type: 12-Month Contract (Strong possibility of extension) Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually (Depending on Experience) Schedule: Primarily Day Shift | Flexibility required based on project needs
We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing organization undergoing significant business and digital transformation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise software implementation projects and partner with cross-functional teams spanning operations, engineering, IT, and business functions. What You'll Be Doing Lead end-to-end enterprise software implementation and digital transformation projects from initiation through successful delivery. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, IT, Quality, Supply Chain, and external vendors. Manage software implementation activities including planning, testing, deployment, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release management, and go-live support. Track project progress, communicate status updates, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. Support organizational change management by helping teams successfully adopt new systems and processes. Maintain project documentation including schedules, status reports, change requests, and risk registers. Apply project management best practices using PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications Valid PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline. Experience managing enterprise software implementation or digital transformation projects. Experience within a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset. Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, SAFe, PMBOK, and SDLC methodologies. Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools. Strong understanding of enterprise systems, databases, and software implementation processes. Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release management, deployment planning, and disaster recovery activities. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience Candidates with experience implementing ERP, MES, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Execution Systems, or other enterprise business applications will be highly regarded. Experience working in organizations undergoing digital transformation, operational improvement, or large-scale change initiatives is also considered an asset.
