Position Overview

A Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring construction projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This position assists Project Managers with various administrative and coordination tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and correspondence.
  • Assist the PM with the prepare submittal schedules division plans and assist with schedule management.
  • Track project progress and coordinate with subcontractors, customers and vendors.
  • Assist the PM in the prep of change orders and update project documentation accordingly including creation and monitoring of the internal project risk registry.
  • Assist the PM with Schedule and coordinate site meetings, inspections, and client visits.
  • Manage RFI & submittals.
  • Attend BIM Coordination and RFI meetings.
  • Assist project managers in closing out projects at the close out stage.
  • Communicate project updates to team members and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Up to 2 years of experience in construction coordination or administration – new grads welcome to apply!
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, practices, documentation and safety regulations.
  • Proficient with project management and office software (MS Office, project management tools).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving aptitude.
  • Understanding of construction schedules, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Basic understanding of construction industry process and practices and safety regulations.
  • Time management and deadline-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements.

Location, Hours of Work & Working Conditions

  • Location: Vaughan
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm
  • Primarily an office work environment
