About the role
Reporting to the Manager of Facilities Maintenance & Engineering, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the day-to-day activities of trades and maintenance staff in Covenant Health facilities. The Supervisor supports construction projects and in-house upgrades, collaborating with other departmental staff as needed. Additionally, the Supervisor ensures compliance with safety regulations and promotes a safe working environment. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:
Diploma in a related field such as Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Environmental Science, or Project Management. Red seal Journeyman Trade Certification or a minimum Fourth-Class Power Engineering Certificate. 4 years of directly related experience in project management, construction, or maintenance operations. Class 5 driver’s license.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of health-care related projects. Strong project coordination skills including an understanding of project management methods and techniques. Proven planning, organizational and problem-solving skills. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop strong relationships with the team and project stakeholders and work in a collaborative, integrated manner. Experience working with external design consultants and construction contractors. Working knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge and background in computers and computer applications in maintenance management/construction environment. Experience with effective budget management and estimating.
