Scrawlr is a company building a software platform and series of products dedicated to enabling alternative forms of communication layered on existing internet content, together with delivering superior monetization flexibility and content ownership for content generators. We have recently completed our internal beta and are preparing for our external beta. We are looking forward to bringing on additional like-minded individuals to assist in product launch. The founder, board of directors, and lead investors in Scrawlr have a strong background in a variety of successful, transformational startups, and we are building our platform alongside a number of other startups within a successful ecosystem.

Core Technical Responsibilities
- Build user interface components following established design. standards using Reactive frameworks.
- Design and develop and maintain secure APIs using the Node.js frameworks.
- Interface with third-party packages, libraries, APIs and services including OpenAI.
- Develop using LLM driven development interfaces
Development Lifecycle & Workflow
- Review project scopes and provide accurate time estimates for specific tasks.
- Engage in pull requests and engage in constructive peer review processes.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designs, provide feedback and ensure accurate implementation.
- Follow task management procedures and engage in daily standups.
DevOps & Tools
- Manage and interact with CI/CD pipelines for deployment through
- Utilize containerization tools for development and deployment consistency.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Commercial staff.
- Participate in daily stand-ups to align on progress and blockers.
- Present completed work during weekly demonstrations.
- Regularly report project status and progress to leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- Three (3) years of work experience in a development role or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of core concepts such as Javascript/HTML/CSS and other look-and-feel technologies.
- Knowledge on Vue.js/React/Angular or similar frameworks
- Knowledge with web page performance, debugging, and best practices
- Knowledge of unit testing concepts or similar frameworks
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work, investigate and conduct necessary research independently
- Enjoy collaborating with your teammates to create an inclusive working environment
- Genuine interest in this field of work
- Strong interest in working with a team of passionate engineers & business professionals that are open, collaborative and work in an innovative environment

Nice to Have
- Knowledge on understanding of cross-browser compatibility development and testing concepts
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Experience with module bundler systems and related web tooling concepts

- Experience working in start-up environments
- GitHub profile with sample projects you would like to showcase
Salary & Benefits
- CAD $72,000 - 85,000 per annum
- Performance bonus based on individual performance
